Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the clinic located?
Please see below for helpful information on how to get to us.
Location: Longstanton Wellness, Cambridge House, 91 High St, Longstanton, Cambridge, CB24 3BS
Where is the parking?
On arrival, drive through the white gate with blue signs labelled Cambridge House. Please park to the right of the car park as these are our allocated bays.
Who can I bring?
You are more than welcome to bring a family member or friend.
What should I wear?
During your appointment, the Osteopath may ask you to remove an item of clothing so that they can assess/treat the area. The best attire is gym/sports or loose-fitting clothing. It is helpful to be able to access the area of concern. Feel free to bring shorts with you to change into for issues concerning the lower extremity.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
Please complete the intake form received via email upon booking. This saves time during your session and ensures that the Osteopath treatment is suitable for you. All intake forms are screened by the Osteopath prior to your appointment.
What can I expect during my initial assessment?
Upon arrival at the clinic, please stay in your car. You will be able to check in using your phone with a link to the Jane app. Your Osteopath will come out and greet you. This is because we share the building with other professionals, so the front door is locked for security.
Once you have entered the clinic, your Osteopath will show you to the treatment room. The session starts with a consultation for you to discuss your concerns. Then, the Osteopath will assess your movement, strength, and range of motion, actively and passively. After this, you and the Osteopath will together discuss the findings and then the appropriate course of treatment.
Usually, there is time for hands-on treatment in this session and exercise prescription if appropriate. However, this is dependent on the complexity of your case.
